Does HealthMarkets® Pay Claims?

Answer

The health insurance industry is highly regulated, imposing specific guidelines related to the payment of claims. Once we receive a claim, we process it, pay for covered services according to the contracted benefits, and send an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) form to the insured and/or provider of services.

The EOB will show the date services were received, the amount we paid, any deductible/copayment/coinsurance amounts, and any amount the customer is responsible for paying to the provider. If you have a question or comment about a specific claim, please contact our Customer Care team at 800-527-2845.
